These are the people that Washington politicians use as target practice in their spitting contests. These are the people
who served their country. These are the people who work hard to care for their families. These are the people who care about
their communities and their faiths. These are the people who Barack Obama would call "bitter" clinging to guns and
the Bible. These are real people and real Americans. These are people who are sick and tired of irresponsible government
spending and intrusive government policies. These are the people who believe in government "by the people" and "for
the people" instead of the Washington D.C. and Springfield, IL ideas regarding government domination of the people.

of a document President Obama views as "flawed", the Constitution. Continue reading "Central Illinois 9/12 Gathering... Not Mark Kirk's Fan Club" »
Clay
County Tea Party Recap Love of country was on display Sunday afternoon as approximately
one hundred concerned citizens gathered before the gazebo at Flora Library Park to participate in the Clay County Tea Party. The event, postponed from its originally scheduled date and time (July 4 at 2 p.m.) due to inclement weather, drew twice
the crowd of the first Clay County Tea Party held on April fifteenth. The people of rural Southern Illinois,
whom some politicians might describe as bitter people clinging to their second amendment rights and their faith (those aren’t
the words candidate Obama spoke when he was unaware he was being recorded at a swank San Francisco fundraiser, but they represent
his sentiment), are capable of seeing through the clutter and media provided distractions. It might surprise some to know
that Illinoisans need not be a resident of Chicago or one of its suburbs to have a stake in the actions of government. The
independent and self-reliant citizens of Southern Illinois can see what is happening in D.C. and Springfield as well as the
snowballing negative consequences of government gone wild. Continue reading “Clay County Tea Party Recap” »
